Kim Burris serves as Chief People Officer at Builders Vision, championing a forward-thinking people strategy that drives the organization’s mission and impact.
As a member of the Builders Vision Leadership Team, Kim serves as a bold advocate for the organization’s most valuable asset: its people. With a deep commitment to cultivating an inclusive and thriving culture, she leads the People Team and the strategy for attracting, retaining, and developing the world-changing talent that powers Builders Vision.
Kim brings over 20 years of professional experience to her role, leveraging her dynamic background in both finance and human behavior to bridge strategy and culture, ensuring Builders Vision's internal capabilities align with the firm's values and ambitious goals. She previously held roles in investment banking and with leadership advisory and organizational effectiveness firms. She also founded an innovative coaching platform rooted in the science of positive psychology, emotional intelligence, and mindfulness. Kim holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, having completed research in leadership, diversity, and conflict management.
A proud Chicago resident, Kim serves on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Children's Museum and the Advisory Board for the Abrams Climate Academy at Northwestern University.
