Builders Vision Investment Leadership Grows with Hire of Two Senior Investors to Drive Public and Private Market Strategies
Jamey Spencer, previously with Pathstone, is now Managing Director and Head of Private Markets.
Kurt Braitberg, previously with the San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System, is now Managing Director and Head of Public Markets.
CHICAGO – January 22, 2026 – Continuing to expand its investment leadership, Builders Vision today announced Jamey Spencer as Managing Director and Head of Private Markets and Kurt Braitberg as Managing Director and Head of Public Markets. These newly created roles reflect Builders Vision’s continued commitment to building a forward-looking, world-class team dedicated to building a more resilient future.

Spencer, based in San Francisco, joins Builders Vision from Pathstone, where he served as Managing Director and shareholder, and acted as a strategic investment advisor to multigenerational families and charitable endowments. He previously led private investments at Jordan Park and was a member of the Private Client Practice and co-managed the Co-Investments team at Cambridge Associates. Over his career, he has spent nearly two decades focused on private investments, including roles with The Riverside Company, Morgan Creek Capital Management, Fort Point Capital and Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. He serves on the Investment Committee of the Marin Community Foundation, the Board of Directors for Summer Search Bay Area, the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Finance Committee for the Rosenberg Foundation, the Bay Area Development Council for U.S. Soccer and the College Board of Visitors for Wake Forest University, and previously served on the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer Investment Advisory Committee.
Braitberg, based in Chicago, most recently oversaw public equity, fixed income, private credit and ESG investing for the San Francisco Employees' Retirement System and served as CIO of the San Francisco Retiree Health Care Trust Fund. Earlier in his career, he held senior investment roles at TeamCo Advisers, Thomas Weisel Partners, Paribas Asset Management and Union Bank of Switzerland. He currently serves on the Board of CFA Society San Francisco and the investment committee of Black Girls Code.
